Energy usage under the bills package is not unlimited. An energy allowance is calculated by estimating your annual consumption. A fair and generous sum is added to that allowance (the “Cap”) to account for unintended overuse and overspending during the tenancy. Providing your usage always remains within the Cap, then you will always remain on the Standard Rate. Monthly meter readings must be submitted.
The Cap has been calculated to ensure that the energy used during the tenancy is reasonable and proportionate.
